24th Sunday of Ordinary Time
"How many times should I forgive"
It is only when you know why you live, and when you know what kind of task you have to accomplish, and when you try to stay faithful to your calling -- that you don't care about not being rewarded, not being appointed, not being noticed or invited, not having the hands proffered, not being greeted "good morning" or "goodbye."
And that's when you can speak of your own dignity. However, you have to hold on to it with all your might, so that - when tired - you won't let go. You have to carry it up high like your banner. You have to hug it close to your heart like treasure.
