And you did not weep
September 17, 1939 - 20 thousand soldiers who perished; not in combat, not in the war, not in a battle, but who were murdered – it is the day of national mourning. So many years have passed since that tragedy took place, and to us it is still so recent, so close; we could touch it with an outstretched arm. It is as if the message about that crime reached us just yesterday. For such atrocity is beyond our comprehension.
