2nd Sunday of Lent

"To rise from the dead"

There's simplicity of a child within you: a child who marvels at each example of beauty, of goodness and of wisdom.
But you are also like a hyena, which pounces on and grabs each piece of carrion.
It depends on you as to which will be stronger - admiration or contempt.  Joy that there are such wonderful people in the world whom you can enjoy, or vile satisfaction that your rival was defeated, even without your participation.
Because according to hyenas everyone is a rival: everyone who is smarter, more beautiful, more holy or unselfish.
