Jezus musiał odejść. Był za wielki, za
wspaniały, za mądry, zbyt miłujący. Uczniowie
już byli w Niego tak wczepieni, tak
wpatrzeni, jak Izraelici wędrujący
przez pustynię w Mojżesza. A nawet
bardziej. Już myśleli Jego
myślami, mówili Jego
słowami.
Odchodził stopniowo. Jeszcze od
czasu do czasu spotykał się z nimi w
Wieczerniku, a to w drodze do
Emaus, a to w
Galilei. Aż odszedł.
Jezus musiał odejść, żeby im
otworzyć obszar wolności, w którym
odnaleźliby siebie i Jego, ale już w
inny sposób, żeby byli sobą: żeby
po swojemu myśleli, mówili, kochali – żeby
po swojemu byli mądrzy,
wielcy, a przecież ewangeliczni.
Taka jest droga każdego
dorastania. Również dzieci mogą
dorastać dzięki temu, że stopniowo
oddalają się od nich
rodzice,
nauczyciele, wychowawcy,
babcie i dziadkowie, właśnie
po to, aby ich wychowankowie mogli się
usamodzielniać i żyć na
własny rachunek.

Jesus had to leave. He was too great, too
wonderful, too wise, too loving. Disciples
were so anchored in Him, so
focused on Him, just like Israelites wandering
through the dessert were focused on Moses. And even more so. They were already thinking
His thoughts, speaking His
words.

He was leaving gradually. He still
met with them from time to time in
the Upper Room, or on the way to
Emmaus or in
Galilee. And finally He left.

Jesus had to leave to open
for them an area of freedom, in which
they could find themselves and find Him, but already
in a different way, so that they could be themselves, so that they could think, speak, and love in their own way
so that they could be wise in their own way
great, and yet evangelical.

This is everyone’s
growing way. Children also can
grow because gradually
their parents,
teachers, educators,
grandmas and grandpas
leave them. They leave to
let their wards
grow independent and live
on their own account.
