They didn’t want Him anymore
even as the Risen one. He lost. He was hung
on the cross. And we thought that He would rebuild the kingdom of Israel that He would arrive on a white horse and defeat the enemies and then

eat drink and feast for we would be independent
He lost. What more does He want from us
They scattered like a flock of sparrows they fled to Galilee

started fishing Perhaps they wanted people to
forget that they had ever followed Jesus. Two of them
went to Emmaus even though they knew that

Him but for the fear of Jews. And He
came and told them : Go out into the whole world and
proclaim the good news to the whole creation
What, alone?
He could not do it and we should?
They did not want such Jesus
Aren’t we also disappointed? Because
we thought that we would sit at the banquet tables and
now He tells us to get to work
And even though we keep trying, nothing works out everything crumbles and it is disheartening
And He keeps talking about the conversion of our hearts.
