To jest chyba jeden z najpiękniejszych
urywków Ewangelii wstęga drogi bezchmurne
niebo pełne słońce i dwie idące
postacie a potem trzecia Nieznajomego
zdarzenie zakończone gdzieś
u wejścia do gospody gdy słońce
chyliło się ku zachodowi i
chłód ogarniał ziemię Jesteśmy
jak ci uczniowie poszliśmy za Jezusem
potężnym w czynie i w mowie ale oto
umarł więc wracamy do domów aby
spokojnie uprawiać grzędy i patrzeć czy
fasola dojrzewa Tylko przestraszyły nas
niektóre z niewiast które były
przed świtaniem u Jego grobu i nie
znalazły Ciała ale widziały
aniołów którzy powiadają że On
żyje i poszli niektórzy z naszych i
znaleźli grób tak jak mówiły
niewiasty ale Jego nie znaleźli
tak bardzo
przestraszeni zmartwieni
tak niedowierzający
tak zgaszeni i smutni
Chyba że Go poznamy przy
Łamaniu Chleba

This is perhaps one of the most beautiful
fragments of the Gospel: a ribbon of road cloudless
sky bright sunshine and two walking
forms and then the third one of a Stranger
the event that finished somewhere
at the entrance to an inn when the sun
was sinking on the horizon and
the chill started to envelop the earth. We are

like those disciples we’ve followed Jesus
who was powerful in His deeds and speech but now
He’s died so we are going back home to
quietly tend our gardens and to watch if
the beans ripen Although we got frightened
by some of the women who went
to His tomb at dawn and did not
find His body, but saw
the angles who said that
He was alive and some of us went and
found the tomb just like the women said
however did not find Him

so terribly
frightened troubled
so unbelieving
so downcast and sad

Unless we manage to recognize Him
in the Breaking of the Bread.
