JAK KOCHAĆ,
skoro tyle razy zostaliśmy zdradzeni.
Jak wierzyć,
skoro tyle razy zostaliśmy wydani.
Jak ufać,
skoro tyle razy przeżyliśmy rozczarowanie.
Jak żyć,
skoro tyle razy umieraliśmy z rozpaczy, z bólu,
ze smutku, z wyczerpania.
A przecież mimo to, że nas
tyle razy oszukano, zdradzono, wydano trzeba
wierzyć, ufać, kochać.
Bo tylko
na tej drodze jesteś
w stanie natrafić na płomyki
wiary,
na okruchy
nadziei
na perły
miłości. I wtedy jesteś w stanie
wzmocnić światło,
postulać okruchy,
nanizać rozsypane perły
cudze i swoje.
I dalej żyć.

HOW TO LOVE,,
when we were betrayed so many times.
How to believe,
when we were denounced so many times.
How to trust
when we were disappointed so many times.
How to live
when we were dying of despair, of pain, of sadness, of exhaustion so many times.

But despite the fact that we were
deceived, betrayed, denounced so many times, we have to believe, to trust and to love.

Fro only
on this path you are
able to stumble across the flickers
of faith,
bits
of hope,
pearls
of love.  And then you will be able to
strengthen the light,
put the bits together,
string the scattered pearls
of your own and those of others.
And keep on living.
