51 - 55

51. My niepokorni. My niepokorni. My niepokorni.

We are not humble. But could we be humble, if Our Master is The One, who took a whip made from rope and rid the Temple of the money changers and sellers of animals, who told the Pharisees and the Sadducees, the chief priests of his nation: “Alas for you, serpents, brood of vipers, you are like whitewashed tombs that look handsome on the outside”. We are not humble. Our heads are not covered in dust, we are not prostrated before God – our Lord, Emperor, King, but we call God: Our Father. We are not humble. Otherwise we couldn’t call His Son: Brother.

Prośmy Matkę Boża o to, aby nas wzięła w swoją opiekę. W opiekę przed ludźmi gorszymi niż wilki, przed nieszczęściami bardziej niespodziewanymi niż piorun.

When wolves came close to the farms, when storms wreaked havoc, our ancestors prayed to Mother Mary, seeking shelter they lit candles.
We are not threatened by wolves any more.
We are threatened, but not by wolves any more.
We are not threatened by thunders any more.
We are threatened, but not by thunders any more.
Let us pray to Mother Mary to protect us from people worse than wolves. To  rotest us against misfortune more sudden than thunder.

Our life consists of waiting. We are waiting for somebody, for something. We are waiting for a letter, a telephone, a smile, the sun, the rain. We are waiting for tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, we are waiting for holidays and retirement. We are waiting for the arrival and the departure. Every moment of every day we wait for something. Like the spring after the winter, when the flowers start to blossom and grass is green. We are waiting for the fertile summer, for the golden autumn, for the silent winter. We are waiting for our birthdays, name- days. We are still waiting for something to happen, to change. We are waiting for the day, when we would feel happy. We are still waiting for Him – The One who is within us.

Our life consists of waiting. We are waiting for God. We are waiting for Him to appear, to speak, to instruct us, encourage and strengthen those who need it. We are waiting for God who comes to us in His Son. And He will come with golden Christmas and violet Lent. He will come with Easter in spring. He will come in the fiery Pentecost and in silvery Advent.
He who is continually present in His Gospel.

Don’t let anyone scratch you, don’t let anyone tear you to pieces. Especially those who say they need you right now, at that moment, at once, always, endlessly. Because you will disappear completely, cursing them and cursing yourself, your own stupidity and your own weakness.
