They were amazed

     Zygmunt Feliński, the Bishop, appeared to us as invincible.  Despite having been sent to Siberia, he came back after 20 years.  He was forbidden however to come back to his own diocese of Warszawa.  These were for him years filled with work.
     He is one of these Polish heroes, one of these Polish saints who managed –even in inhuman conditions, in captivity, when everything that was Polish was being destroyed – to rise above difficulties which he encountered at every step, and to do good.
