2nd Sunday of Ordinary Time
"And His Disciples Believed in Him"
Maybe the disciples complained right from the beginning that Jesus agreed to accept the invitation to that wedding. Because how can this be - He, who considers himself a messiah, is going to visit poor people, and thus - in some way - sinners?
And their doubts were confirmed at the time when the wine ran out. Discredit and shame. Well, serves them right; if these people were honest, God would not let that happen.
And all of a sudden -- that miracle! Now it was overwhelmingly clear for the disciples: what this Jesus from Nazareth was teaching must be true - that God loves everyone, even the paupers, even the sinners.
