Let him listen
Neighborly love means also that you have to listen to a man who talks to you, to understand what he tells you, to be concerned with his concerns, to worry with his worries, to be troubled by whatever troubles him, to be joyful because of his joy.
So we should apologize to people whom we did not understand, whose concerns we were not concerned with, with whose worries we did not worry, whom we did not trust, whom we did not believe.
To apologize to the misunderstood, the alienated, the despised, the suspects and the accused.
For neighborly love means also respect for what they say, how they behave, what worries, or saddens, or bothers them. Perhaps they are sick?
